   Taking place at In the Heart of the Beast Theatre the day before May Day, I pulled together a band of 5 musicians to play two original handmade experimental instruments of my own design; An accordion seesaw and rocking chair xylophone.

   An interactive installation & performance incorporating an improvisational, all-skill-levels orchestra playing in rhythm with a live heart beat.

 

Creator of Slice the Drum Machine / 2021 

   Commissioned by orchestral percussionist Juliana Maintinez, "Slice" consists of 6 DC powered motors mounted on a deconstructable wood/metal staircase connected to a control panel with dials and switches to change speed and direction using an Arduino.

   Assisted in general communications between students, staff and outside parties. Kept track of events on multiple calendars, created and distributed posters for upcoming public events and welcomed visitors to the department.

 

Circulation at the Stevenson Library / 2022 

   Responsible for welcoming and assisting patrons of the library in addition to checking books in/out and organizing them for reshelving.

 

Organizer, composer, band leader and sound technician for the I’ll Wait Orchestra / 2023

   Hosted weekly practices, created large-scale graphic scores and put on a damn good show with the help of many friends along the way.

 

Teaching assistant at George Washington Elementary / 2020

   Assisted in daily classroom activities and later helped the classroom transition to an online format by creating a series of short videos to guide students through at-home science+art focused activities.

  HVC is an organization that supports local economies and communities via alternative local currency systems, community spaces and food access.

 

Art teacher for Minneapolis Parks and Recreation / 2019

  Planned and executed bi-weekly craft-making sessions at Parks in Minneapolis as well as a week-long summer camp at the Bottineau Field Recreation Center.

 

Artist for the Fringe Festival performance of "L'île de plastique" / 2019

  Helped to construct and install a life sized whale archway outside the Minneapolis Public Library. Also created an educational diorama to line the interior of the whale.

 

Grant recipient of sculpture commissioned by the Capitol Region Watershed District of St. Paul / 2019

   Drafted blueprints, workshopped prototypes and eventually fabricated an interactive sculpture in collaboration with local artist Gita Ghei that can be set up at tabling events to educate visitors about best water quality stewardship practices and the St. Paul city water system.

 

Lead artist for nature based therapeutics event hosted by the U of M and the Center for Spirituality and Healing / 2019

  Constructed and installed four 8ft tall sculptures personifying the four major biomes of Minnesota. Also taught a course in paper mache/puppet making at the Blake School; the students of which each chose a flora or fauna to add to the biomes.
